Typically, highly compensated professionals receive a long-term disability benefit amount much lower than 50% of their income (60% if enrolled in the buy-up option) provided by Key’s Group Long-Term Disability (LTD) plan, leaving a gap in protected income.

You are eligible to enroll in Key’s Supplemental Individual Disability Insurance Plan offered through Guardian Life Insurance of America.

- Your Group LTD benefit is capped at $15,000 per month if you are disabled, making this supplemental individual disability insurance coverage an important consideration to maximize your income protection.
- This is an individual policy that you can take with you if you leave Key.
- Premiums are paid post-tax through payroll deductions, which means the benefit is tax free at claim time.
- Since this plan is being offered through Key, you will have access to features unavailable in the individual marketplace.
